What Is the Tithe and What Does It Mean?

The idea of tithing is, of course, an old testament idea. People genuinly assume that means a sort of ten % sort of offering to the church and so on. It's rather it's assumed that you will be giving em and then please give some more. And there are questions about should that be a tenth before tax or after tax? But i think hat the wisest teaching that i know in from the new testament perspective on money, is that the tithe is simply a pointer towards the generosity which is expected of you. In other words, you are free to give more.
