South Dakota Governor Christy Gnome signed an executive order banning the Chinese social media platform TikTok for state government agencies, employees, and contractors using devices. She said it was in response to the growing national security threat that is being posed by TikTok due to its data gathering operations on behalf of the communist Chinese Party. "The fact that we've known it now for some time and everybody's been in denial about it is kind of scary to me," he says.
