The Ungerman Story of Berlin
Berlin has always been a little rebellious, irreverent and sometimes dangerous. The city was founded as a trading post in the middle ages on trade routes from east to west and north south. It attracted an immigrant population which gave it its own sort of independent character. But rulers of prussia and germany never actually liked living there. To berlin's huge credit hitler loathed the place, and berlin never evated for him.
