I Want to Be a Postdoctoral Researcher
After completing her PhD in immunology, she was offered a postdoc position at Vanderbilt. She wanted to study neutrophils in a viral infection and worked with Dr. Ed Sherwood on the same project. After Hurricane Ike hit Texas, he asked if she would help him start up his lab; she said yes. The two were able to publish four first author publications during their time together.
