What Is John Wycliffe's Contribution?
To understand the way our bible is you have to actually go back and look at our earliest translators. William tin was the first person who ever attempted to take the greek or the hebrew and put it into english. John wycliffe was using the latin vulgate, which is a translation of a translation. And what william tindal did that was so unique is he skipped the lat in vulgate and went straight back to the greek - original language of the new testament.
