I was a mathematician, math and physics background, and then some considerable work in astronomy. I do everything with formulas, and I was in the first wave of computer programmers. It's so much easier to then prove that your stuff works even retrospectively. If it doesn't work in the past, things that I wouldn't be using now, I understand that if it does work in thepast, it's not a guarantee to work in the future. But certainly the other way around is important to me. It has to work. The idea of being like a fundamental trader where I watch the basis,. all these people that have a successful traders are systematic in some way.
