I don't think you can set out with a road map for a painting and follow us at instructions. That's ultimately going to be massively unsatisfying. One of the things that i see artists do, and it probably is those who are more towards the beginning of their journey, is they reach this point of being frustrated with the painting. And when you just cover it up, you're taking yourself right? It's like a snake's ladders board. But so this is where it's important to just go, ok, so where am i with this? What is good about it? What do i like? What's not working? Move it on from there.
