The Inverse Relationship Between the Monarchy and the Crown
The role of the monarchy has been massively transformed, especially in the area of constitutional monarchy. We're thinking more now about the last hundred years or so, an inverse relationship between a monarch's power and the majesty of ceremony. I think even though ceremony is kind of look the same, the reasons we might want them or the work they might do has changed according to context.
