Silicon Valley Bank was not diversifying its assets. It was hyper concentrated in this one industry. They are in an industry that is in recession right now because they did not diversify. I can see why focusing on one sector of the economy is actually a good thing. Like you're creating connections between people. But was there a risk here too that just being invested in one piece of the economy leaves you exposed? Absolutely.
