i think that many of the things that most concern jang ting fo looked very out of place in maus china. But actually hae a tremendous amount of significance in the china of to day. Think about te jobs that he held and the way in which he set some of the stage for what you might call long running stories. He was china's first ambassador to the united nations. And even if his contributions are now less well remembered than they might be, i would say they deserve looked at again.
