The tech sector is seeing huge layoffs while jobs are being added in many other sectors. Apple, while still taking advantage of that windfall, did not hire a lot of new folks. According to data from Bloomberg, Apple added fewer employees than other big tech firms buy a lot. The risk Apple took was under hiring. If they didn't take advantage, their growth could have been outpaced by competitors who did.
