There were only six people on the island now, mack and muff, buck and stepane, as well as bernard and evelyn. Muff sent another letter to her family with the leonards, talking about how much she disliked the other couple. Buck had moved out. He set up camp on the shore with an old mattress that he found. The owners hate when the older trees, or any trees, are cut down. To top it off, they've got these three dogs. They don't even have enough food for them. What a mess. Why didn't we have to arrive at the same time? I mean, the island is no place for dogs.
