The Importance of Buffering Nitrogen in Farm Inputs
High salt index fertilizers can dehydrate the AMF, high-fay and these inputs should also be buffered with carbon just like DAP. The importance of only supplying what NPK is required in any given time can't be overemphasized. For every kilogram of nitrogen applied over and above the plant's immediate requirements there's a subsequent loss of 100 kilograms of carbon to the atmosphere.
