Is India's Nuclear Program a Geopolitical Dimension of Indian Foreign Policy?

The conventional wisdom about India's foreign policy under the under Johar Lero and his daughter, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi is that it has tended to be more prestige driven. Scholars over the last 10, 15 years using archival evidence have been gradually dismantling that myth or those set of myths. I see geopolitics to be a key dimension of Indian foreign policy throughout; there is more continuity among the various political, major political parties when it comes to India's nuclear program.
