Trans Ligamentos Variation of the Recurrent Motor Branch of the Median Nerve

Cutting the transverse compal ligament radially increases the risk of transsection in cases of trans ligaments. The recurrent motor branch of the median nerve intervates the majority of the thenar musculature, including the opponent's polysis abductor polysis brevis and most of the flexorpolysis brevis.
