The Impact of Wolves on the Angular Population
Wolves and ungulates have lived together for tens of thousands of years in Colorado since the last glaciation. Wolves can take healthy animals, but one of the reasons they take weak and injured or in some way impaired animals is because it's safer for them. Getting kicked in the head by an elk is not a good thing. And so that's what we expect to see.
