Moses Hands Lifted Up Means Prayer

Moses hands were heavy. He could keep switching the rod from one hand to the other, but he was getting tired. They took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And his hands were steady until the sun set. So moses apparently had the staff in one hand and the other hand raised up too. And joshua overwhelmed amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. Well, again, there's two pictures here. One is that hands lifted up represent prayer. When moses held his hand and the staff stretched out, then israel prevailed. And when he let his hand down, amalek prevailed.
