The Importance of Blurting Out Your Ideas
Most of the time you're saying it's a blurt. We don't it we would do the cherry picking at an unconscious level. My advice to my students, when a student comes to me with a big idea for a paper, they just afraid they might be wrong, I say, look, blur it out. Then you have something on the page to fix exactly. And don't be afraid of making mistakes, at least then you have something you might be able to fix.
