The Role of a Biomedical Researcher in the Brigham Medical School Community
I tend to prioritize talks given by local people because I want to know what's happening within this community. Nobody can know everything that's going on and most people, you know, especially if they have to run a lab and treat patients, they just don't have time to meet everybody and know everything. So part of my role is to help, help make those connections. I also get involved in a big, big grant proposals. Anything that requires coordination across, in across departments or across multiple stakeholders, maybe no one person will be willing to take the lean on behalf of a large group.
