The book is software engineering at Google. The biggest gap between this is what we think we understand and how stuff is currently actually operating is almost certainly the dependency management chapter. We're starting to take some steps towards being a little better on some of that management front but fundamentally it's largely prefer any number of version control problems over a single dependency management problem.
