Nick Bostrom looks at the economic impact of sanctions on russia. A number of financial institutions have been cut from a messaging system that international banks use to send money across borders. The most significant sanctions are bent on exporting high te components to Russia, which will affect their ability to have advanced western technology. And then there is probably, i think, one of the most significant set of sanctions, which is the freezing of the russian central banks foreign exchange reserves.
