Is Science a Moral and a Political?
Science is inherently political. The ideal of science is that it is above the world of grubby politics, or psychological biases and all that. As long as science is done by people, it's always going to be political. Eugenics is another branch of science as ideology. If we want to improve society, just open more libraries. We don't need to mess around with d and a. But that's what the eugenics movement was always about. It was looking for biological solutions to things that are actually achievable through cultural means.
