Skafoid fractures with less than 1mm of displacement have a union rate of 90%. Both options include percutaneous screw fixation and open reduction and internal fixation. A volar approach to Percutaneous Screw Fixation is indicated in waist and distal pole fractures, as well as fractures with humpback flexion deformities. The lateral capsule management should be done to allow for closure and restoration of the RSC ligament.
