The Zeitgeist of the 20th Century

Each decade, a theme emerges. The zeitgeist of the 2010s was best articulated by Mark and Reason in 2011 - Software is Eating the World. What you're seeing now is the unraveling of that zeitgeist. So 2021 was the peak of thatZeitgeist. It was all about software and cloud. And what we've been writing about and discussing in the community is that we believe climate is a zeitgeist for this decade. Now that climate change just starting now, not peeking now, starting in 2023. Just like software was from 2010 to 2020, from 2020 to 2030, the zeitgeist is climate.
