The Micro Perspective on Violence in the Workplace

Work is violence. It could be physical, it could be a lot of different things. Sometimes the violence that happens in a particular workplace is just seen as kind of a cultural norm. And so we have to kind of recognize that some of these supposed victims of the violence may not even realize that they're victims. I think understanding this from a generational perspective is a good metaphor. So my mom, she was the only woman in the College of Engineering of 400 other guys. She was the first woman acceptance to the College of engineering.
