The Financial Crisis Observatory

In 2003, 2004 in America if you could get a mortgage from Washington Mutual with basically almost no supporting documents and they would let you borrow a million US dollars to buy a second or third home. I guess that starts to be some of those early signals that 2008 didn't just come out of the clear blue. So we decided to found this financial crisis observatory in August 2008 as a psychological response, defense against what I felt, how could I say, a disgust, let's say a disgust to the discourse at the time which you know did not have the hindsight of the all the analysis later on.
