How to Improve Visual Design

I think probably many designers are perfectionists throughout different aspects of their life, not just design. I don't know that you can learn to be a perfectionist. It's just part of your personality. And so one of the ways you can improve an interface without touching the layout or any other choices you necessarily made from scratch is to change the typeface for example. If someone doesn't feel like they can improve their skill set, they can at least improve the selection of materials they're choosing from.
