Are Our Children Really More Endangered?
Climate change looms large in our collective consciousness, but it is only one threat facing coming generations. Every decade there are catastrophic weather events, treatment resistant diseases and socio political unrest. All of those things cause less damage than they ever have before because of us. A reasonably mild winter in europe in the past would wipe out large percentages of the entire population. Now we've got heated indoors, heated with our electricity, much of it generated by fossil fuels. In a few places there are signs of resilience, struck s where people and their animals are protected.
