The Importance of History in Islamic Studies
I feel like it's a bit disingenuous to answer that before you've got the knowledge itself. The more I'm slowly, the more I realize how long I've got to go, how little I know. It's actually quite demoralizing. And so to be a scholar, they say you need to be a jack of all trades and then you become an expert at one. So in a way you're asking me what would I like my specialism to be? That's the solve the question.
