The Legacy of the Belfast Agreement
This area has seen some of the worst violence that we had during 30 years of conflict. We are standing on the loyalist side rather than the Republican side of the wall, but as we've talked about, this is symbolic of the division that exists here. It's a good monument to be with the war that we've just come through. And you've got a loyalist stronghold on one side, the Republican heartland of Belfast on the other. But it hasn't had that effect at all.
