In two thousand 16, the institute on metropolitan opportunity at the university of minnesota law school released to study looking at higher end affordable housing projects in the minneapolis area. Often these projects had units set aside for artists. And when looked at the demographics of the people living in the artist residences, they found that 80% were white and childless. Those residents also tended to have higher incomes and tended not to have rental assistance.
