The Right Use of Technology in Education
i think zoom and the other kinds of synchronous meeting formets that we now have may well be a technology that we might want to actually keep making use of, even in education once the pandemic ends. One of the best practices that we told as professors to help students avoid what we might call zom fatigue was to have a mixture in classes of asynchronus and syncronus sessions. And so for two courses that i did last fall,. i took advantage of a kind of temporary recording studio that we had set up here in our humanity's building, and recorded lectures on two subjects. The other was a global shakes phere, in which i basically structured lectures around 11 minute segments
