Introduction
Osteolysis represents a histocytic response to wear debris. Radio stereometric analysis is the most accurate and precise technique to evaluate polyethylene wear. Ceramic on polyethylene bearings have varied, ranging from 0 to 150 microns. Recurrent dislocations or incidental contact of the femoral head with a metallic shell can cause quote, lead pencil like markings.
