In high school Ben always wanted to sing more but didn't have time for it. In college, he auditioned for an acapella group at USC and got in the second time. He switched gears from French horn to jazz vocal after realizing no one needed him as a French horn player anymore. Glee was kind of the first thing and then the sing-off took off.
