The Last Lapse
Henry the second on the throne at the age of 21 is ultimately the victory that Matilda would have wanted or at least the victory that she got in all of this. Every single monarch of England since that time and later Great Britain has been a direct descendant of Matilda. She had you know really the last laugh but I sometimes wonder whether she would have swapped that for what happened to her family.
