Virginia randolph was a pioneering vocational teacher. She taught at the mountain road school, a one room schoolhouse where she would teach for 15 years. Virginia's father died soon after virginia's youngest sister was born. Her mother was left to raise the family and taught them how to knit, crochet and clean.
