The film is based on a novala by bruce robinson called parinor in the laundrat. It was originally going to be an adaptation of that, but then it became something bigger than that. You've got victorian cerial killers mixing with children's books. And you've got animation elements in there as well. I can only imagine how they managed to get it done.
