The Crucifixion of the Lord's Supper

I prefer the coming up to the altar as opposed to whatever, whatever other way you might want to do it passing the trays around or whatever. This is one of the reasons I'm more of a fan of having the Lord's Supper on an altar where you come up to it to get it. And what that says about mediation between God and man because we know ultimately that this is a picture of the cross, the body and blood of Christ being broken and shed. That communion with God is forever secured in that sacrifice.
