The History of Pet Death

Evidence suggests that from the beginning of keeping dogs as companions, people have really struggled with the death of a dog. Lord Byron famously installs a monument to his new foundland boats Wayne in 1808 at his home in New stood Abbey. This is such a well known memorial it gives people permission to acknowledge that the death ofa dog can be a real memorial. For much of the 19th century, if we look at diaries and correspondence, there is, however, a taboo about talking about pet death in public. In 1994 Blue Cross established a pepper even support service. It's still going and since Covid actually during Covid and subsequently the demand for that service has rocketed.
