Mythologies of the Moslems of Spain

Author says spain often tells itself stories to try and weave this impossible narrative that we've been talking about. Hercules is the great founding, founding myth of spain; many of his 12 labors are meant to have been created by him stort of accidentally pushing a hole in the wall. They also tell, for example, there's an explanation for the moslem invasion of spain, which is to do with a visigoth king who breaks a taboo on secret chambers. And then you geter mythologies used at the end of the mediaeval period, in the early modern period, to try and basically erase the moslem history of spain.
