The Unresolved Missing Persons Cases for Children
According to NamUs, there are 122 unresolved missing persons cases for children between January 1st of 1997 and October 1st of 2001. When we rule out cases that coincide with Keys' time abroad in Egypt and Panama, that only brings the number down to 110. This also wouldn't exclude any time he spent in Canada while living in constable. Of those 110 unresolved American cases, at least 10 were parent or family abductions. At least 23 have a confession or a strong suspect. Eight disappeared under specific circumstances, such as confirmed drownings or death by suicide. And 48 can be ruled out because Keys can be placed elsewhere at the time of the disappearance. Which leaves 21 unresolved missing child
