Is It OK to Be a Cosmopolitan?
A strong multiculturalist position can sometimes put you in te position of thinking there are different cultures out there, and we eed to respect them all. Can we really say that all values are created equal? And what i think a cosmopolitan wants to do is mediate among those claims foright. One of the things that i address in the book is the idea of falliblism, that we are all flawed beings that were error prone. But rather seeing that as a kind of fatal flaw, though, i say, a calvinist might a cosmopolitan woild ay, look, this is an opportunity.
