The Circular Logic of Robin d'Angelo
I have a very hard time understanding why therapists do not recognize Robin D'Angelo's ideas and her tactics as being abusive. She says that when you're talking to white people about race and racism, she lists the different reactions that they might have; each reaction is an example of their fragility and their racism. And so I don't understand how therapists cannot recognize this as abusive. It really makes me feel crazy because to me, it's so obvious. The circular logic, it's a Kafka trap, there's a lot of gas sliding involved as well.
