By the second world war, you've had the abdication crisis, which has really shattered the religious ora around the monarchy. And in fact, the new king, and he's only been in the roal since 19 36, he's not very well known as a person yet. It is harder for him to kind of create a royal image at the start of world war two. But i think hae have his first, really dramatic impact in the war, is when he makes a speech about stand at the gate of the year.
