Danny Sreskanderajer is chief executive of one of the world's biggest and best known aid charities, Oxfam. His Tamil, Sri Lankan family fled their home country as inter-ethnic violence increased in the 1980s. Danny excelled at school, eventually winning a road scholarship to Oxford. Ora Washington was champion in two sports: tennis and basketball. But while she was fighting for titles on the courts, she was facing prejudice often.
