The Legacy of European Imperialism
We are now very much in a post imperial age, but there is still a strong legacy of the british empire. I think that does still infect a lot of a european, perhaps particularly british, a historiography. No body builds an empire in the interests of the people who become the subjects of the empire. And we have to be absolutely clear about the nature of europeana imperialism. So one of th things the book, i book is trying to do isis to say that we need more realistic assessment of ways of resisting imperialism.
