The fed turned hawkish, which is normally a bad signal. But in this instance, i believe they heaved a sigh of relief because they had been so wrong on inflation. The fact that they have sped up their tapering and the cy of rate hikes is actually viewed as positive. This is a very different economy than what we saw in 20 20 any policy measure from last year cannot be appropriate to day. We have to normalize.
