Vinesh was known for beating people up and stalking and troubling women. Drinking alcohol had the same effect on Vinesh, he would lose his school and suddenly turn aggressive. After finishing up multiple bottles of alcohol in no state to drive, they decided to take the bus to GB Road, Delhi's infamous red light district with hundreds of multi-story brothels and more than 1000 prostitutes. But they never went to GB Road that night because they saw a young woman waiting at a bus stop. That was enough for them. At 9.13 the night, the bus arrived at the Munirka bus station.
