DITing: A Digital Imaging Technician's Perspective
DIT stands for digital imaging technician. It's kind of a catch-all term, especially in digital productions these days for anybody doing data management. What it really stands for is someone that is in charge of translating the cinematographer's vision into what one could call the digital negative and passing that along to posts. So, you're essentially the bridge between production and post from a cinematography perspective.
