Is There a Way to Get People to Strike My Ego?
The desire to be worshiped in respect is almost like woven into our DNA or at least into our false conception of ourself. And that's how we think we're going to get a payoff is if I can get people to stroke my ego, I'll be happy and it's just not true. Any good quality that I have is really the blessing of someone else. I pass it along. This praise isn't for me. It's not a false humility.
